Sava has a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 30+ years of experience in risk assessment, loss prevention and safety engineering in the oil and gas industry, both offshore and onshore, including shale gas, 12 years of which were in the employment of a major Certifying and Verification Authority.
Throughout his career Sava has worked on projects for over 70 design and operating companies on their facilities in 26 countries. The facilities he has worked on are piled and gravity-based offshore platforms, floating production and storage offshore facilities, drilling rigs, refineries, gas plants, oil and gas terminals and pipelines.

Risk Assessment covers all aspects of qualitative and quantitative assessments of technical risks from the facilitations of HAZOPs and hazard identification (HAZIDs and ALARP) studies, carrying out frequency analysis, consequence analysis, response analysis, risk evaluation and the preparation of technical reports for the submission to the Regulatory Bodies and Certifying Authorities.
Loss Prevention typically covers the reviews and design of harmonised responses of facilities and personnel, site surveys and witnessing of testing of Safety Critical Elements, and facilitations of Loss Prevention Review Workshops.
Safety Engineering typically involves the analysis and design of resistance of offshore and onshore facilities to accidental and seismic loads, fire and explosion protection optimisation and fire and gas detection mapping.

Throughout his career Sava has held senior management positions of Consultancy Manager, Divisional Director and Managing Director. He developed businesses and managed them. Sava uses a multi–system, multi–discipline, risk- and integrity based approach, unless the Client prefers a different method. Coming from one person (himself) has the advantage that the interfaces between systems, disciplines, risk and integrity are fully included and utilised, which is often lost when several personnel are involved individually.
